Albany, NY (Dec. 25, 2009) 12:30pm - The American Red Cross of Northeastern New York (ARCNENY) is giving emergency aid to one family, representing five people, after a severe fire at their home at 18 Saratoga Drive in East Glenville this morning.

Disaster Action Team volunteers met with the family after being called to the scene by local officials at approximately 8 a.m. Volunteers have given the victims winter clothing, shoes, food and storage containers.

In the coming days and weeks, Red Cross volunteers and staff will continue to work with those affected by today´s fire to provide more aid if needed, and help the victims develop post-disaster plans to get started on the road to recovery.
